Can they get the info upfront discreetly?
I've twice had samples assayed at a lab in Malaga. Each time I personally delivered them and filled in the paperwork. When the samples were assayed, I received notification and an account which I had to pay before the results were emailed to me.

There would be a record of attainment, so other than collating and tabling results into something acceptable for release and writing up the announcement, the company would need to explain any delay in announcing results.

Maybe they could get verbal indications from the lab of results, though would the lab take the risk?. There is a heirachy of control that involves those assaying the results having no knowledge of who owns the samples or where they are from.

The lab office would know the assay results but have no idea of where the samples come from or depths unless the mining company chose to include those details. Each sample bag only needs a code for the company to identify it by, so no need for the lab to know anything more than the sample bag individual id.

5 weeks from start of drilling to first results would be one of the shorter turnaround timeframes if NXM have any results back yet. We'll find out in a couple of days.
