Buffalo we had a "sure thing" and it ended up being a duster. This is the game. Geology isn't an exact science, plenty of assumptions and guesswork going on there. My biggest concern is that CVN has put all their eggs in one basket, but unfortunately with COVID and renewable energies, it's difficult for them to do what was being done in the 80s and 90s with oil where it was going "gaga". Most people investing in O&G these days either lived the glory days, or are chasing the glory days, it's not an educated investment; myself included.
