On the other hand, in the US, where most of those personnel are, stock transactions are private. We’d have no way of knowing, unless the person just decided to volunteer the information. I can imagine it might not be within ethical standards to trade in a company when one is involved in trial administration. Not that it would happen, but consider someone shorting a company and then sabotaging a trial or conversely, going long and then manipulating the data to appear more favorable.
