you may be right there sjl .... just like a wedding, the father has just said yes without consulting the rest of the family about whether or not we want to marry 'that man' .... next stop, walking her down the aisle and giving her away ......
poor poor poor result given the amount of negotiation time they have had and the supposed world class resource. time will tell but it aint looking rosy at all for us long termers.
