The rain! I remember being under the forest canopy after the rain stopped. The wind would blow making the tree tops loosen the water pooled up top. Then you got your second soaking.
Not my favourite time. I remember also getting snagged on ‘Wait a while’, a palm with these hooks, and all sorts of other nasties.
Only in Australia, where if the crocs, sharks, funnel webs, drop bears, wild razerback boars, or dingoes don’t kill you, the plants will. I would say you would have had some amazing trips up there. A great time to reflect on no doubt.
