Its a good time to be a high grade iron ore producer as IO concentrate premiums increased further overnight, although prices had eased back a few days earlier. The price is now similar to prices in mid Sept .

The latest price for 65% iron ore concentrate is US$178.10/t or AUD$247.95/tonne.

When you compare this to a manganese producer like E25 it truly shows the huge price gap in market cap valuation.
E25 barely gets 1/2 this amount per tonne and they have to truck 600kms. The problem with trucking is that the loads are counted two ways as they come back empty, so truck costs are for 1,200kms. E25 loses money on every tonne they ship.
This is where ELE is a winner using rail and containers, and supplying the highest grade IO concentrate.

Chinese steelmakers surge production in December

China’s steel output sharply rebounded during the last month of 2021, as most mills completed their production cut tasks in previous months. Rising market prices stimulated them to lift utilization rates. The total 2021 annual steel production in the country reduced for the first time since 2016.
