this is a reminder to me (and everyone), how a few surface scratchings can turn into a multi million dollar resource, (now about $180 mill), if you persevere and plod away till the time and gold price is right.
i actually had an opportunity to get involved in this mine a few years ago, when it was owned by a kalgoorlie brothel madam, irene f...she wasn't interested in the gold apparently, she only wanted a retreat for her girls to get away from kal for a break...so she assigned some gold rights to a local prospector and mate e.v.
i was invited out to look at the lease by e v, party lured by the prospect of sharing a spa with a lot of naked ladies.
well the accomodation and spa were never finished as far as i know, but e.v was onto a small cross cutting (east-west) quartz reef pitching to the north and grading between 1 and 2 onz/tonne...seems i lucked out big time in more ways than one.
this is a reminder to me (and everyone), how a few surface...
