Among theposts by outraged shareholders several posters belonging to the Anti PEP brigade have mentioned the strong support for Morrisons cancelling of the project. However they fail to mention that the Petition PN0462 presented to The Parliament by Zali Steggells last year when campaigning against the renewal of the PEP11 Exploration Permit was found by the Petitions Committee not to meet the rules set out in the House Standing Orders.

ThePetitions Committee stated it was out of order because :

ThePetition was not correctly addressed to the House of Representatives

· Didnot include a “Request to the House”

· Sufficientdetails have not been provided for the Principal Petitioner;

· TheSignatures are out of Order

· TheOriginal petition documents were not supplied

Thisproject if successful and allowed to proceed would be good forthe whole of NSW.Not just a few suburbs with superb views and supposed pristine beaches afterthey recover from due to storm water runoff from the land.

Gas fromPEP11 would solve the current East Coast Gas shortage that is causingastronomical costs for both residential and Industry use.
