You can see below how Tala start out with a very small loan at first and the limit is gradually increased only when when customers show that they can repay on time.
If you look at the snippet from today’s announcement, you can see that PIL offer 3 different types of loans.
Platinum Plus
Platinum
Silver
I would suspect that Platinum Plus agents would be offered the highest loan amount as they would be the most active/loyal agents. The loan amount would most likely step down for Platinum, Silver and newly registered agents IMO.
As the agents show that they can service the loans on time and repay, the limit will no doubt be increased next time IMO.
The agents have the opportunity to work their way up through the tiers and get bigger load rebates for the top tier.
