There are a lot of potential variables with AF and partners etc, at the moment there are various thoughts going on.
A couple of points.
AF doesnt have to have announced his future change at from PER, he is currently still employed and hopefully carrying out his job to the fullest, maybe up until the end of January, but i'm sure we will here more as/if a replacement is chosen.
You can still attend industry presentations whether you already have a partner or not, it is possible to have no partner yet, but is also possible to have a partner for one componant or zone or area, but none for others.
It is also possible to have many suitors and tentative arrangements but still still remaining available under the right circumstances.
It bwould appear from his resume AF has aspirations long term as CEO, he could be going for various reasons, or he could just be furthering his long term career path, we dont know.
He is leaving , potentially, post 2b 6month results and possibly post FDA, although that would be tight.
His job at that point maybe tidied up enough for a clean transition, life goes on, for all.
As far as was he paid appropriately or overpaid and under produced, only time can answer that, anyone who spruiks facts as opinions will only muddy the investor waters.
