It's very normal for rebalance day look at other ASX 200 stocks even if they weren't being moved from the index large numbers change hands. It's the standard pattern Thursday before rebalance pre-open there's massive outsize bids and volume, rebalance day after close another wave of massive volume.
Maybe what's stranger is the volume of shorts going through, more than 7 million from Tuesday to Thursday. Maybe attempting to hold it down seems to meet with a big sell every time it passes 0.69 but may not be due to any fundamental reason. There's companies out there losing more money with flimsier balance sheets trading at much higher multiples.
