I had a big argument at AGM of Grainco (smaller Qld operation subsumed into GNC) with the then Chairman when they were sloshing money at so called "droughtproofing" ...thing is they were businesses best run by smaller operators ( bar the meat works which was the opposite) ,they paid top dollar, and they were using borrowed money, plus balance sheet was not in great shape!
