As Uncle Peter famously said: "insiders might sell their shares for any number of reasons, but they buy them for only one: they think the price will rise."
Directors would not risk losing money buying QRI just to pump the SP. As we agreed they are in the business of making money for themselves not losing it. And they are not delusional enough to think that a small parcel buying will make any long term difference. Instead they just spam everyone explaining that QRI is as safe as houses (pun intended) like they did few month ago when SP started falling below NTA.
This situation reminds me of your comments on WPR last month when SP was at its lowest. You correctly laid down the bear case and your sentiment was "sell". On the other hand I saw an opportunity to top up my holding in WPR. Since then SP is up 20% and WPR paid a dividend.
I believe it is similar with QRI. Your arguments are correct but the pessimism is already baked in the SP.
Time will tell.
