imo, like mining and coal fired generators, farmers could have waste water evaporative dams to trap and treat phosphate and nitrogen fertiliser excess.
re-using the water from such dams could help reduce the pollution problems in the Basin..... I really can't understand why such plans haven't been seen as necessary. but I'm not a farmer.
