Being able to have 4 different states would be pretty good - from a digital standpoint, you're effectively doubling the density of an array without having to shrink it.

yeah that was intended as an example that would be easy to see value haha.

obviously it will be similar to radio where you have a constellation of states that can represent a symbol where that symbol transcodes back to a demuxed value that is more than one bit.

obviously 4 values represents 2 bits, etc etc. its also plausible this method could be used as a substitution for error checking in certain applications
