It should be noted a company secretary isn't a part of the board . They attend to the adminstrative matters of the organisation. Their role is to adminstier the companies interactions with shareholders, regulators and the board and are mainly performed by CA, CPA and other specialists. SV has in the past been CFO and company secretary of groups he's been associated with, so knows what is needed in the role. Having someone perform both duties in a small new exploation company without a revenue income in my mind is prudent management of one companies precious cash reserves. The fees being recovered for the duties perdomred are not exhorbemt and if a company secretary was onboard the company would be forking out an extra 200k in fees/salary when on costs etc are all considered and Id prefer that money being spent on drilling than adminstration, especially if the person is already avaialble inhouse. I'm sure if DUN discover something of note, the board composition will alter to suit what their needs are at that time and MD, CS and EM roles will adjust accordingly.
