"Pursuant to the FOA, if FAR’s share of well costs is less than the agreed cap, then at least 50% of the balance is to be paid in cash to FAR."

And this from March 17, 2017 initial announcement:
"become the Operator by making an upfront payment of US$5.18 million and funding up to US$8.0 million of ERIN’s share of the cost of an exploration well. If ERIN’s share of the exploration well costs is less than US$8.0 million then the balance is to be paid in cash. FAR’s share of the cost of the exploration well is expected to be in the order of US$25.0 to US$30.0 million."
