Like you, I'm also a little confused.

I think part of the the issue around the messaging is that 88e had their initial target, the Seabee and Premier obviously only had eyes for the Torok.

As Premier were paying for the drill into the Torok, as soon as they realised that they had the "challenging to commercialise" condensate, all that was heard was the sound of slamming doors and squealing tyres. Their deal was for one drill and that hinged around the Torok. They clearly have no interest in coming back to re-drill another well into another play, I'm guessing they would know it's suboptimal.

So, now we have Dave talking up the Seabee again, I'm guessing this will be spun in such a way to make it sound viable. Might be trying to attract another cashed up nano/micro cap to partner for another drill.

Not sure about certain investors clawing back losses, after such a big fall often any news will provide a bounce and a trading opportunity. Most are probably just happy to see some cost savings. But with any gain it's the holding the gain that becomes the issue, with a seasonal operations program.

Like the bulk of shares at this end of the market, it's more about identifying the trading opportunity rather than what the company is actually trying to do.
