I reckon we are still 12 months or so away before we are back on the ground in Yemen. I've been monitoring the conflict closely over the last year or so... a bloody humanitarian disaster. Both sides use social media a lot and to be honest what gets posted is fairly close to the mark when it makes the " official " news.
There has been a shift in the direction of the conflict since the murder of Saleh , the government side has been winning fairly significant territory from the Houth's , aided by some significant defections by the Republican Guard. There was a territorial stalemate over the last year but now the Govt forces are slowly squeezing the Houthi's, even advancing into Saada ( their home state).
The sooner the conflict gets resolved the better.... the civilian suffering especially in Taiz is astronomical.
