99% are done manually by staff who have been doing this kind work for 10 and more years. They will eventually move on or retire and thus would require new ones who needs to be provided with lots of training that will cost a lot of money. So PEXA would be the way to go as it the technology that will automate remortgaging task.
There is also the problem of scammers and errors. That can be mostly eliminated. Banks could be responsible if someone got scammed.
Next stage of PEXA UK will be property sales and transfers. First stage of Property Sales to use PEXA in UK will be this December 2024.
