I would suggest "resign" is a nice way of telling the directors that they were not going to be directors much longer. Splitting the UK and Irish subsidiaries up was flagged in the FY results. Whether EML has found a buyer for PCSIL or have decided to put the business into runoff time will tell.
I think it is highly unlikely this is a negative. Probably a positive. It seems to fit in with management's stated goals last month. This is a bloated loss making part of the business with a heavy exposure to products in the regulator's sight.
