Agreed. But CMC Markets doesn't adjust the actual total cost of the shares for you when you've purchased extra shares through a SPP. So even though I spent $X in the SPP, that cost is NOT reflected in the CMC data and it simply shows more shares (post SPP) for the same total cost - that's the bit I've noted to draw to my accountant's attention at tax time.
