I would think it important to allow the body to be able to build its own immunity. So buying time for the defences to build and win could build herd immunity too.
This is unlike penicillin so I am not sure if the virus would be able to figure it out quickly or at all - yes, we should let someone in the right field provide an educated guess.
Too much guessing from me - time to zip it.
