Cainy I was just doing some reading on Qalsody. Just the treatment had me grinding my teeth.
Qalsody is administered intrathecally (through a spinal injection) by healthcare professionals who are experienced in performing lumbar punctures. The recommended dosage is 100 mg (15 mL) per administration. Patients receive three initial doses administered at 14-day intervals, followed by a maintenance dose every 28 days.

The most common side effects were pain, fatigue, arthralgia (joint pain), increased cerebrospinal (brain and spinal cord) fluid white blood cells, and myalgia (muscle pain).


It does not sound very nice for either the application or the side effects. Monepantel may be the preferred treatment there as well.

Actually was trying to find info about MPL and the FDA about the ODD thing. No luck there.
