About to pop into a meeting.
But basically, my understanding, is that there are 2 mutiprotein complexes.
mTORC1 and mTORC2
They impact different parts of the celluar processes.
Rapamycin works on mTORC1 - comes with a whole lot of side effects and issues.
MPL is all about mTORC2 - seems to be the sweet spot / a bit later in the celluar process.
So not really comparable.
But I think I will throw this to @kpax !
