That's quite a statement. I am doctor and I know many doctors who invest in start-ups, pre-revenue companies as well as established names, crypto, gold...whatever. And I know just as many who are happy to use a broker, or invest in property. Many do all of the above. It all depends on comfort in taking on risk, and their financial situation of course.

With regards to biotech investing in general I would say that in my experience, conference calls are usually excessively optimistic and tend to emphasise the headline results, while omitting toxicity, side-effects, and most importantly, the competition. If you go and pull the 8-K and 10-K reports then things tend to be a bit more balanced. And of course there is always the inevitable capital raise.

I like Imugene and have been adding over time. I hope I win, both for my own finances and for the patients who may benefit. But as to my investment strategy I have a portfolio with a number of potential shots on goal, as well as a spread of risk.
