It is why I said gravity separation. They will have a process flowsheet that can produce two products after separation - TiO2 and REE. Because they can produce the various products they will have economies of scale in the process flow sheet itself. Maybe you should brush up on how a process flowsheets will be designed before you talk further - go have a look at the lithium ones for a start and work out how tantulum/tin is recovered and where. Temperature here in part will also be to ensure any gangue not separated at the magnetic stage can be dealt with.
