Not "just" an ethical approval. It is important as an FDA IND approval. The City of Hope committee wouldn't have given their approval if the interim data they collected - but not have announced yet - wouldn't justify it. Ph 1 is all about safety, yes, but they clearly see that it works.
It is reading between the lines of course, but we have seen it at IMU that progressing to the next level is only done when they are sure it works.
More clarity by the end of this year.
