Nope. Staph is reintroduced to the nose. this thing was only applied inside the nose.
Stap is common in skin, especially if you had in your nose already, let say you scratch you nostril or lick you lips.
If you lick your lips staph can go trough the buccal cavity and end up in your nose quite easily.
Perhaps the product needs to be used 5 days before surgery and 5 days after.
