The 2019 results did not show that the treatment helped reduce the symptoms of the common cold. It was only on subset analysis that an effect was found (treatment within the first 24 hours, viral lab positivity, and one other I can not remember off the top of my head). The evidence was not enough to continue registration, hence the new trial.

so potentially lab did not translate to real world, unfortunately. I would not believe it could have been a mix up that is incomprehensible.
