Back in 2005 a Japanese study that was trying to show that gargling with betadine was an effective treatment for sore throat found that gargling with water was effective and betadine was no good at all.

apparently the Japanese love to gargle with Betadine because they believe it works but no one had ever done a study to test this….hence the reason for doing the study cited above. nasodine is just betadine up the nose, I understand.

time perhaps for researchers to at least consider gargling and irrigating with water is worth serious investigation…however, how do you make money out of a simple water treatment?
