I don't think that would have much of an effect, most US patients wouldn't know anything about MSB they're just either up for the experimental stuff or not...
But the jump in ARDS patients from flu season in the US could accelerate the trial enrollment rate. Having more people coming in as severe patients would put more people in the enrolling hospitals and more chances at signing up for the trial.
