Came across these random / interesting articles about Dr Minlu Fu (copied/pasted at the end of this post - they're old, from 2021)
A few things to note:
1. Im not sure what happened to LCL. It had a share price of 20c a few years back with a Porphyry Discovery, though the share price has dropped significantly over the years (not sure why, havent looked into it)
2. TIE on the other hand has become a producer, with a chinese company taking majority control last year (valued at $733m)
"China’s Zhaojin Capital has won control of Australia’s Tietto Minerals after a protracted six months takeover tussle that values the gold producer at A$733 million ($474.62 million), according to a regulatory filing on Wednesday."

.
.
3. Dr Minlu Fu invested in ARN before this niobium project (they had a nickel project in WA). From 2021: "It’s the potential to make a large nickel discovery that attracted internationally renowned geologist Dr Minlu Fu to make a strategic investment in ARN."
.
.
Though it is encouraging to see that he has a good track record as a geologist, aswell as making some pretty good discoveries over the years. It seems that he's quite bullish about making a discovery here. I think a discovery will be made, but how good of a discovery is the question
Some info about the project and historical information are published on the ARN website here:
https://www.aldororesources.com/kameelburg-ree-project/
The country rock consists of marbles, quartzite’s, mica schists of the Damara Supergroup. Rare earth metals are known to occur in all three phases with higher concentrations in the more magnesium and iron rich beforesites. Initial mineral investigations were conducted in the late 1960’s early 1970’s by AMCOR and the project lay dormant until 2012-2015 when it was investigated by a private company for REE and phosphates but low commodity prices during this period ended investigations.
to add to that, i dont think anybody knew about / were interested in Niobium back then
As of Sep 25, 2024 (the t20 ive seen on marketindex): he holds 11.76% of ARN through his company Lizeng Pty Ltd, as well as 4.90% in his own name. Though these figures could be outdated. But he has a lot of skin in the game.Dr Fu has been heavily involved in a number of Nickel, Copper and Gold discoveries and has an envious ASX track record given his successful technical involvement in the significant discoveries made by Los Ceros (ASX: LCL) and Tietto Minerals (ASX: TIE).
Tietto is capped at $147M and Dr Fu has a 9.9% interest.
.Dr Fu is a highly accomplished geologist who received his PhD from La Trobe University in 1989. From 1987 to 2000, Dr Fu worked for Western Mining Corporation in Australia and China as a research geologist, senior research geologist, and exploration manager.
.He has significant maiden exploration success which includes the West Musgrave nickel deposit (Western Australia), the Tampakan copper gold deposit (Philippines), and the Ernest Henry copper-gold deposit (Queensland). Notably, Ernest Henry is one of Australia’s largest, long-life, low-cost copper-gold projects.
.Further to Dr Fu’s technical involvement with Los Cerros (ASX: LCL) and Tietto Minerals (ASX: TIE) he has also been instrumental in the discovery of the Jinxi-Yelmand epithermal gold deposit, the Huangtupo VMS copper, zinc, gold and silver deposit, the Jinhe copper-gold deposit, the South copper-gold deposit and the Huangtan volcanogenic gold deposit, all of which are based in Xinjiang -PRC.
The company today told shareholders it has entered into a consultancy agreement with Dr Fu’s company, Hong Kong Ausino Investment Limited (Ausino) for the provision of equipment and services for the Narndee project.
Further to this involvement in the project, Dr Fu and his Ausino associates have committed to invest $2 million in Aldoro via a share placement, bolstering the company’s cash reserves to around $4.2 million
Dr Fu received his PhD from La Trobe University in 1989 and worked for Western Mining Corporation in both Australia and China as a research geologist, senior research geologist and exploration manager until 2000. WMC was eventually taken over by BHP (ASX: BHP) in 2005.
His significant maiden exploration success includes the West Musgrave nickel deposit in WA, the Tampakan copper gold deposit in the Philippines, and the Ernest Henry copper-gold deposit in Queensland – notably one of Australia’s largest, long-life, low-cost copper-gold projects.
In addition to Dr Fu’s technical involvement with Los Cerros (ASX: LCL) and Tietto Minerals (ASX: TIE), he has been instrumental in the discovery of the Jinxi-Yelmand epithermal gold deposit, the Huangtupo volcanogenic massive sulphide (VMS) copper-zinc-gold-silver deposit, the Jinhe copper-gold deposit, the South copper-gold deposit and the Huangtan volcanogenic gold deposit, all of which are based in China’s Xinjiang region.
