Umm... investors manipulating a company's share price has being going on for a very long time. Maybe start with reading a few investment books to understand what the term means. A great start would be Reminiscences of a Stock Operator about Jesse Livermore.
Whether that's the case or not with IMM is another matter. There certainly are many who take advantage of the volatility in the sp and don't care about the long term picture.
