Paul had 15 minutes to present at the Bell Potter Healthcare Conference.
I won't go through all details but ....
- he went through the clinical trial, which we all knew
- spoke about the placebo effect and how they are overcoming them
- spoke about registration, and their focus is Rest Of World.
- TGA didn't think that medicinal cannabis wouldn't grow this big through SAS
- TGA thought that the companies would do proper rigorous studies. They haven't
- Spoke about GW Pharma
- If they are successful in phase 3, they expect to be the second medicinal cannabis registered product on the market
- They didn't do phase 2 because TGA defined the dose and indication. Which is what you would use a phase 2 for.
- There is a whole lot of data out there that CBD works, but no one has successfully formally tested it against a placebo
- Pricing: are you comparing it to current pills for insomnia? It will be the most off-label dispensed product in oz history. The insomnia market is about $250 million. Most of these products have a next-day hangover. CBD doesn't. People with pain and anxiety will have to look to get this product. Unregistered market, and those just wanting CBD can access the capsule, increasing the market. 5-10% of Australia entered a GP when it MC was made available in the following week. Nothing was registered.
- There are 3 tiers of licensees. tier one - Pharmacy chains, Chemist Warehouse, Terry white. Tier two - Austrlaina generics - blackmores, pharmacare etc and above them the Global Players Halyon?? Dr Reddys Perrigo. All want their own registered product.
- Other programs non cbd - didn't mention anything new. Building a product with Perrigo for topical. Mentioned Arthur group.
- Cash position - about 7.5 mill in bank
- Catalysts - Phase 3 - September/October if it looks good they will look to license then. Additional clinical trials CBD CGB topicals in the new year. In talks with USA and Aust about recreational space (Im assuming gummy). A couple of clinical trials funded by third-party products mentioned Cannaboinds but also other products.
