Its a laugh really! Only electric vehicles in Europe . Where will the electricity for all the charging come from. Wind farms and solar can't do it. The place is a mass of wind farms now and they can't supply their national grids as it is.
Coal powered power stations? "Not for us thanks!", say the greenies.
No they will want battery storage. (Elon Musk rubs hands gleefully)
"But don't those lithium things tend to blow up or catch on fire? They seem to do that with mobile phones." asks the sceptical.
And what about those batteries in the vehicles themselves.
"No worries ",say the tree huggers, "A few thousand more deaths from burning vehicles is a cheap price to pay".
"Hang on", says the consumer, " I paid a lot more for my electric vehicle than I would have for a petrol one and now the battery's knackered and they want to charge me another $7,000 or so to replace it. No thanks! I'm voting these pillocks out at the next election."

To the rescue comes O&G.
Oh sorry, the explorers and producers all closed down because they could't make a profit.

"But we'll freeze this winter and I can't drive my car further than the supermarket because of electricity restrictions," cry the masses.

"Don't worry about that" says Kim Jon Un, "I'll light you a bombfire with one of my nukes."
