Im sure many(but assuredly not every) watcher will have read what happened in 1980 when the drill bit got down to somewhere in the 3000 to 4000 metre range and the flow of escaping gas practically blew the heads off the drilling crew(so to speak).Presumably the gas kept flowing at high,or very high,rates for quite a while before the well was capped and the drill abandoned in the interests of the safety of the crew.
Sounds like a grand opening try,even if nobody got rich then as result of a surfeit of gas for a short period.
Start as you intend to continue,I say.Go Phoenix,you good thing.Apache will be ready for you this time.
