With numerous contractors on board, ballpark for offshore drilling is US800k-1 mil.

A 5000+m depth well takes 10-12 wks on a trouble free basis for different casing sizes to b run (36" conductor, 17.5", 13 3/8", 9", 7" & 5" liner) alongwith cementing, wireline logging crew, LWD/MWD crew, WSGeo's, Loggers, Mud doctor, ROV dudes & the rest of the Drilling Personnel & ship crew. That's the smooth sail scenario.

Usual hiccups (other then cyclone related evac's) occur whilst handling over-pressure zones, taking gas/water kicks or well control, stuffed casing job or liner, sidetracking, stuck wireline tool & delay for a fishing job. Each well is different as per the province.

Quadrant should b wiser this time around, after PS#1 turned into PS-ST1 & PS-ST2.
