Thanks for that. I did a search on "Development Driller 1" and got the position of the rig as being just south east of Mauritius. The data sheet for the DD1 comes up and you can click on the "route forecast" button and it gives a route as I described above. Hence my confusion. The forecast route has a projected eta for Port Hedland of 27 March. Apologies as I cannot paste the image I have on my screen here (tried multiple ways without success)
I can see the blue icon you said but it comes up with "Tugs and Special Craft". I hope that is the correct location of the rig and this forecast route is wrong.
