My options expire in June 2023. I averaged down recently so I am "only" 64% in the red.
As GregWallis says, when all the work is done they will rerate. I expect that there will be opportunities to re-rate as the process progresses and the percieved risks are resolved.
By their releases, the system is proven non toxic and proven to work both as a therapy for killing tumours and an adjunct therapy to assist in surgical excision of tumours.
It works on viral infections that are extremely problematic with existing treatments (did I see ebola in a recent release?). It is hard to see any reason why this technology could fail so IMHO, it will not fail.
If I have a big win elsewhere, I might average down further and grab another 10 million at point 1 of a cent.
The range and scope and efficacy of these treatments are so massive that, in my wildest dreams, this could be another CSL. That would put me in billionaire teritory and the top 20 of the rich list (along with many other option holders I'm guessing). Clearly, this is getting "a little" ahead of things. I have no rational means of calculating how valuable this mob will be once the technology is approved, but it will be big in my opinion.
One for the bottom drawer for now.
