Also strengthening AUD does not help in calcs. US$70 a week ago at say 0.725 equates to AUD$96.55 or a SP of AUD$0.965, whereas at 0.75 this reduces to AUD93.33 or SP of AUD$0.933 ... exchange rate risk borne by foreign shareholders (of ~ 3.34%)

On the bright side, SYA 2c SP rise yesterday was worth ~ AUD$150M or US$100M and we own ~16.5% so call it about ~US$1 a share gain (also from doing nothing but its a risk because that equity investment could go down - but not if you read HC ... it only ever goes up. Same risk with ALL).

It's all just "white noise" to me. Where is the capital being invested and how long until a (cash) return is going to be earned on that capital. For NAL its within 12mths (so sayeth Sayona .... I like that) and Ewoya is within 2 yrs. That's short term in my horizon for mining companies.
