Off takers want the material but do not want pay a fair price to cover the cost of production. The company has to raise money to cover the negative cash flow. The off taker then plugs the hole by taking equity in the company. In this case CATL is taking an 8.5% equity interest. Shareholders are gradually losing their company. I saw a picture of Ken and he is not happy. What else can he do? Same is happening to AJM.
