Interesting thought - what if PLS used $600m of the $1.6bn to do a market buyback post transaction - given most investments are subject to FID and market outlook and access to debt, there isn't much of a need to keep >$1bn in the bank and I think dividend would be bad, but a countercyclical buyback to undo the dilution could be one of the best investments they could do.
