Spodumene is a lithium bearing aluminium inosilicate. It is the type of rock we are mining.
This is then processed into a concentrate containing 6% lithium. The max theoretical being 8% contained lithium based on spodumenes stoichiometry.
Tantalum is a by product of processing spodumene concentrate.
Tech grade is 7% and less impurities. Requires low iron feedstock. This is used for ceramics and glass
