Very good news indeed!
PLS is now significantly de-risked from both a financing and technical/operations perspective. Last qrt cash flow was driven by selling stockpiles - a much more impressive result this qrt with almost break-even after stock/currency movements and loan capital repayments are backed out.... especially considering the moderated production rate.
The lower interest rate + two years grace on capital repayments that comes with this refinance should ensure PLS stays about cash flow neutral at current prices and operational performance/utilisation. Averaging US$450/dmt costs with a period at US$350/dmt certainly indicates that operations are getting much closer to the promise of this project.
