Procurement Officer - Pilbara - Mining Industry

This is complemented by a comprehensive range of specialist services in heavy machinery repair including shutdown, refurbishment and maintenance.

RCR Tomlinson is looking for an experienced Procurement Officer with back ground in Mining to work on the Pilbara Minerals Project based in the Pilbara.

Duties will included:

• Management of supply contracts including issuing tenders, assessment of bids, preparation of recommendations for award and the administration of the awarded contract.
• Developing a positive working relationship with suppliers.
• Coordination and communication with any project site-based store persons to ensure materials are delivered and received in accordance with company procedures and the project schedule.
• Understand and implement Contracts Administration procedures and practices.
• Process and recommend for approval all Contract Variations relevant to packages in portfolio.
• Process and Administer Supplier’s progress claims.
• Issue and manage correspondence to and from Suppliers.
• Chair and minute Supplier Progress Meetings.
• Evaluate and make recommendation on Contractual
• Monitor Suppliers for compliance with all contract deliverables.
• Managing change and recording and obtaining authorisation in accordance with the Project’s Change Management Procedure.
• Provide survey and feedback information check sheets to suppliers, to address any quality, delivery or pricing issues.

To be considered for the position you will have the following:

• 3 to 10 years experience in a similar role in an EPC, contractor or project environment.
• Experience with the preparation and administration of commercial and contractual aspects of contracts, cost reporting, subcontract award and administration and risk management.
• Excellent interpersonal, writing and communication skills.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize multiple tasks in order to meet strict deadlines.
• Be computer literate in all MS Office applications.
• Ability to establish working relationships and maintain good communications with the project team and all suppliers.
