Do not under-estimate the inter company relationships in China either.
Things can change by direction from up higher.
Companies can join forces or back off when instructed by those with higher relationships.
They can also present multiple faces for the same company.
I can't say much more.

Suffice to say it seems obvious that non-Chinese battery manufacturers will almost exclusively use brines and China has a concerted push to tie up all "real" spodumene production which is more suited to their production and geography.

Do not assume anything except the Chinese want lots of Spodumene.
