Nothing wrong it seems with the recoveries from Goschen fine, and by extension perhaps Wimmera style ultra-fine RE deposits. Excellent recoveries, as expected from very clean >90% RE-mineral concentrates.
They mention very low U&Th in the MREC, also to be expected as the U&Th is removed during the MREC process from the leach solution. By definition, this means the very high U&Th in the RE-con feed remains on-site in the tailings or concentrated into radioactive drums looking for sale/storage. All well and good having great recoveries to quality MREC product, but when/how/where does a new radioactive waste MREC Hyroplant get approved in Oz or overseas outside China is the perpetual hurdle.
If VHM gets up and running with HMC and RE-con sales to China that's where it will likely stay for ever imo. Outside receiving a big, fat guvvie subsidy ILU style to build an east coast hydromet, or a least a leg up for RE-con sales to china on the hope "we will then come back home later for western supply security' MREC Stage is not the aim. Getting enough subsidies to actually get Stage 1 permitted, funded, up and running to put some sort of floor under shareholder value is the main aim here...
