I agree, although it mentions nothing of detail regards cracking, leaching, or even word Thorium in the document, it does indicate keeping the radioactive material on-site. The science as I understand it following the Eneabba MREC process, on Wimmera monazite, is that the U & Th is removed as solids but that it needs to be disposed and stored in lined storage ponds for obvious reasons. We just can't have dissolvable, leachable, transport of U&Th in the ground water table around the Wimmera district from unconstrained co-disposal with ordinary tailings.
I'm very, very interested if you can find more definitive evidence than non-technical motherhood statements on a EIS note. The obvious risk if the public is not told what's exactly going to happen with the U&Th in the RE con once it's cracked and leached out, is that NIMBYs get upset ands the whole process goes back to start again...
