Humans appear to be the only creature that is able to delude itself. We all delude ourselves at times, mostly it's nothing but a temporary suspension of reality that enables us to achieve or attempt a difficult goal or task, or that allows us to do something we inherently know is wrong.
lets be clear here...a delusion is a belief based on perception not fact, it therefore has no connection with reality.
Religion is by far the most common delusion. There are no facts or evidence that supports the whole omnipotent deity thing...just my opinion...like...
